Ondula Clothes Stand
Ondula Clothes Stand was designed from corrugated metal sheets, industrial elements commonly used for roof coverings. The idea of using corrugated metal sheets and exploring their material potential for interiors and furnishings was born during the construction phase of a wine bar in London, where two corrugated sheets randomly found in the backyard of a building were recovered and used as vertical cladding for the bathroom. Playing around with the bending of the corrugated sheet, this brutal, but harmonious and delicate element became an object of research for Flatwig Studio. With the aim of adding value to the aesthetic properties of this industrial material, Flatwig Studio curves the metal sheet with a simple gesture allowing it to become the back of this clothes stand. The corrugated metal sheet is the main vertical element of the piece and acts as both as background for the clothes but also as partition inside a room.
